Optimo Pathfinder is web-based software that allows you to develop comprehensive financial strategies. You can model different scenarios and compare the outcomes for your client in a few easy steps:
For more details on what features can be included and modeled in Optimo Pathfinder, download the Features List HERE.
Before you can start you need to create an account, click here to register your account. After you've registered you will recieve one case for free - this is to help you get familiar with our platform. Once you have your login details, follow the instructions in our Getting Started Guide. You can either enter your own data, or use one of the sample cases we've prepared for you.
Use your free case to explore how different strategies are set up, run any number of scenarios, compare and explore each strategy's results in detail. Visit our online help to guide you through the entire process.
Yes, we offer training either through Zoom, Microsoft Teams or over the phone. We are happy to give you an introduction to Pathfinder and how it can benefit your business. In the demo we can give you a general overview or answer your specific questions. Contact us to arrange a demo.
Optimo Pathfinder’s cost-effective pricing structure means you only pay for what you use. You can buy a single case or a bundle of cases. To do so:
When you purchase a case (or bundle) they will stay in your Pathfinder account until you want to use them. These cases expire after 15 months from the purchase date. Once you've added a case you can work on this case for 90 days, after that the case will get locked automatically. When a case is locked, you can still view your case details but you can no longer edit it. We found that for most of the time 90 days is enough to complete your client’s strategy analysis.
On your dashboard you can view all your cases, on the right you will see the number of days until a case will automatically get locked (and your locked cases). A week before a case is locked you will recieve an automatic email to remind you of this.
We understand that sometimes things can take longer than expected, please contact us if you need to edit your case after it is locked. We can unlock your case and check if any updates need to be made. Please note that additional charges may apply to unlock a case, we will let you know before we do so.
We reserve the right to refuse a request to unlock a case.
Unfortunately not, when you have completed a case and you would like to review your client (after 90 days), you need to purchase a new case. This automatically ensures that you are using the latest assumptions and correct background data.
You can contact us to request a case to be copied, From our experience we know that entering a case is usually faster than copying a case and taking the time to compare and update all the data.
You can have your 'old' case and new case open at the same time if you want to view the previous data when entering the data for your new case. For more information on how to do this, click HERE.
Pathfinder includes default assumptions for the economy (e.g. CPI, AWOTE), interest rates, and asset class performance (e.g. returns for Australian equities, property growth, etc). Some of these assumptions can be edited in your case, or choose an option that is close to your preferred values. We offer customised assumptions for your company account on request. To view the full list of defaults and assumptions, please see our wiki here.
We can make custom assumptions for your organisation so that your preferred values are pre-filled instead of the Optimo Pathfinder default values.
More information on How to see and edit the assumptions and view the Optimo Financial Default Assumptions HERE.
We can create an organisation account for your business and add more logins for your support staff and other advisers in your organisation. Logins are free of charge and we encourage you to request a login for each person who will be using Pathfinder, rather than sharing logins.
Please contact us If you would like to create additional logins, or merge trial logins under a single organisation.
Optimo Pathfinder only includes legislation that has been passed in both houses of parliament and received Royal Assent from the Governor General. Our Legislative Updates page lists the recent legislation implemented in Pathfinder and proposed legislation we are keeping an eye on.
If passed legislation includes changes that apply in the future, for example, new tax thresholds that will apply in five years’ time or future indexation of the super contributions caps, Pathfinder includes the legislation in your projections.
Once proposed legislation becomes law, Pathfinder is updated promptly to reflect these new laws.
Optimo Financial offers a range of help and training resources, including:
We have developed an incoming Partner API allowing your data to be pushed to Optimo Pathfinder in preparation of creating strategies.
We are working on an export API from which the results can be send to your platform of choice.
Contact our General Manager for more information regarding the Partner API.
At the moment it is not possible to import or export data between Optimo Pathfinder and XPLAN. However, we offer the option to use our API to create your own API connection between your version of XPLAN and Optimo Pathfinder.
Others who prefer Pathfinder’s modelling over XPLAN’s and have successfully integrated Pathfinder into their business processes, while continuing to use XPLAN for their customer relationship management.
